Senior Fullstack Engineer – music tech industry (f/m/x)

ICE (International Copyright Enterprise) is an organization set up by rights managers to support music creators by enabling collecting societies and publishers to accurately account for remuneration for international use of their work. On a daily basis, ICE processes trillions of plays and distributes over €1 billion in royalties annually, working with global platforms such as Spotify, Apple and YouTube.

We are currently looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (B2B) to join the Finance Royalty Processing team, responsible for the development of scalable, event-driven systems that handle royalty-related financial settlements.

The project is for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Your tasks

• Development, maintenance and optimization of backend components in TypeScript and Scala
• Design and development of modern frontend applications based on React and Next.js
• Co-development and maintenance of infrastructure as code using Pulumi / TypeScript
• Design and implementation of fullstack solutions in distributed architecture
• Creating and developing systems based on event-driven architecture and integrations with Apache Kafka / Confluent Cloud
• Collaborating with the team and stakeholders in the design and delivery of solutions
• Taking care of code quality through code review, automated testing and best practices
• Participate in building, maintaining and optimizing CI/CD processes and DevOps environments
• Implement monitoring, observability and diagnostic mechanisms for production systems
• Participate in the process of continuous improvement of the architecture, performance and scalability of the platform
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a fullstack role
• Very good knowledge of TypeScript and Scala in a production environment
• Commercial experience with React and Next.js
• Practical knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Previous work with Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi preferred)
• Practical experience working with AWS and cloud-native solutions
• Knowledge of DevOps processes, CI/CD, automated testing and version control systems
• Experience working with event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka / Confluent Cloud
• Very good knowledge of English language
• Ability to work independently in an Agile environment

• Familiarity with the functional programming paradigm in practice
• Experience with monitoring and observability (e.g. DataDog)
• Experience working in a financial, billing or royalty systems domain
• Previous experience working in a Lean, Kanban or Scrum environment
