Mid & Senior Full Stack Engineers | PropTech | Ruby on Rails
We are working with an exciting proptech startup that is redefining how the residential building industry works. Through a blend of data, software, and design, they are building tools to make complex processes simple, transparent, and actionable, helping people improve the spaces they live and work in.
As part of their next phase of growth, they are hiring multiple Full Stack Engineers across both Mid-Level and Senior positions to join the team. These are high-impact roles for engineers who enjoy ownership, product thinking, and solving real-world problems within a fast-moving and established startup environment.
The business has already proven product-market fit, is generating revenue from major clients, and is entering an exciting growth phase with strong momentum and backing.
About the role
As a Full Stack Engineer, you’ll work across the entire technology stack, helping design, build, and scale products. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software while contributing to the evolution of the platform, engineering standards, and technical direction.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Sydney.
The team values curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning. AI-assisted engineering workflows are increasingly embedded into how they build software, and the team regularly shares new tooling, workflows, and ideas they’ve discovered. They’re looking for engineers who are excited by the evolution of modern software development and want to be part of shaping it.
The team will rely on you to:
- Build, ship, and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems across the full stack.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features that solve meaningful customer problems.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code with a strong focus on quality and pragmatism.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, technical planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work effectively within a collaborative, highly autonomous engineering culture.
- Help improve engineering practices, tooling, and development workflows across the team.
- Operate comfortably within a startup environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
Senior engineers will also help mentor other developers, contribute to longer-term technical strategy, and drive engineering best practices across the platform.
Your background:
- Experience building modern software products across the full stack.
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
- Experience working in startup, scale-up, or high-growth product environments.
- A collaborative engineering mindset.
- Curiosity around AI-assisted development workflows and emerging engineering tooling.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience with Docker and Terraform.
- Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience within proptech, fintech, insurance or other fast-paced product environments.
What’s next
If you're an engineer who enjoys ownership, autonomy, fast-moving product environments, and working alongside curious, highly engaged developers, we’d love to hear from you. We’ll be reviewing applications over the coming weeks and contacting shortlisted candidates for screening before being presented to the client.
