VP of Cybersecurity

We are looking for a VP of Cybersecurity to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This executive role will lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and threat protection initiatives, ensuring a robust security posture across all systems, applications, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy and roadmap
• Lead all aspects of information security, including threat detection, incident response, and risk management
• Establish and oversee security governance, policies, and compliance frameworks
• Ensure protection of systems, networks, data, and digital assets across the enterprise
• Oversee security operations (SOC), vulnerability management, and penetration testing programs
• Partner with IT, engineering, and business leaders to embed security into all initiatives
• Manage cyber risk assessments and business continuity / disaster recovery planning
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC2)
• Lead and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team
• Provide executive-level reporting and guidance on security posture and emerging threats

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
• 5+ years of leadership experience in a senior or executive capacity
• Strong expertise in enterprise security architecture, risk management, and incident response
• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, etc.)
• Background in cloud security, network security, and application security
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar)
• Strong leadership, communication, and executive presence
