Day-to-day:

Insight Global is seeking a Digital Product Owner for a Big 5 banking client. This role focuses on executing and delivering on an established roadmap for a digital banking application, ensuring successful partner and technology integration with the platforms. You will lead agile teams through the development lifecycle and ensure timely delivery of high-value features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Roadmap Execution: Drive delivery of features and enhancements according to the established roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide updates on delivery progress.
  • Product Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the development team focuses on the most impactful items.
  • User Story Development: Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for clarity and completeness.
  • Agile Ceremony Leadership: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to guide the team and remove impediments.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and approve deliverables that meet quality standards.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sprint progress and delivery metrics, reporting on outcomes and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Feedback Loop: Collect input from users and stakeholders to inform backlog refinement and future iterations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify delivery risks early and implement solutions to keep development on track.
  • Team Support: Provide leadership and support to the development team, fostering collaboration and resolving blockers.


Must-Haves:

  • 3-5+ years experience in Product Owner
  • Digital product experience
  • Exceptional agile methodology and digital product delivery experience
  • Banking/FI experience (ideally lending and investment experience)
  • Experience working on fullstack digital products (both UI/UX and API, front end and back end)
  • Understanding back end systems and data flows
  • Large enterprise product/project experience
  • Strong ability to deliver on existing roadmaps
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

Plusses:

  • Experience with lending and/or investment products
  • Employee-facing platform experience
