Role Description
Are you a driven, mission-focused sales professional who wants to sell technology that actually matters? As a Sales Representative at Wayren, you’ll be on the front line of bringing our resilient communication platform to defense and industrial customers around the world. This is a hands-on, hunter-style role for someone who is hungry to learn, relentless in follow-through, and unafraid of long conversations with serious customers.
You’ll work side-by-side with our sales and engineering team to find new opportunities, qualify them, run product demonstrations, and move deals forward. If you have a background in the high-discipline environment and you want to translate that into a commercial career, this role is built for you.
Company Description
Wayren is creating a Resilient Communication Platform designed for seamless operations in extreme conditions, such as battlefields, remote areas, and disaster zones. Our platform supports first responders, defense forces, and industries like mining by enabling critical data exchange even in challenging environments. Using advanced technology, including digital radios, satellites, Bluetooth, and LoRa networks, our platform ensures rapid deployment of reliable mesh networks without the need for central management. By leveraging our efficient data synchronization protocol, we optimize communication under limited bandwidth and poor signal conditions. Our mission is to support timely decision-making and enhance operational efficiency in the harshest environments.
What you'll do
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new sales opportunities across defense and industrial customers in your assigned markets.
- Run product demonstrations and customer briefings, with technical support from our engineering team.
- Manage your pipeline end-to-end: outreach, discovery, proposals, follow-ups and keep CRM data accurate and current.
- Support the Sales team on larger, strategic accounts and complex tenders.
- Represent Wayren at industry conferences, defense exhibitions, and customer site visits.
- Bring customer feedback back into the company to help shape product, marketing, and positioning.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with clients effectively and professionally.
- Strong-willed, disciplined, and persistent. You do not flinch from hard conversations or long sales cycles.
- Some prior B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (defense, technology, industrial, or comparable).
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the credibility to talk to serious buyers.
- Comfort working with technical products and the curiosity to learn how ours actually works.
- Self-starter mindset. You organize your own week and get after it without being managed step-by-step.
- Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings and industry events.
