IT Product Owner in Digital channels

About this opportunity

We are looking for an IT Product Owner to join our team and take technical ownership and shape the future of a critical application area of Identification and PSD2. In this role, you will collaborate with talented people to create trusted base for digital solutions for our customers and colleagues across the bank. You will play a key role in Aktia’s strategy as a wealth manager bank.

Your role is to contribute to the application area vision and roadmap and secure that all development is planned with long-term focus and in close collaboration with business and other stakeholders. You will support software development and operations with internal stakeholders, developers and external vendors.

You’re structured, curious, and passionate about building great digital experiences that people trust. You will follow company guidelines and hybrid working policies and lead by example.

Your mission

As an IT Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for the continuous improvement of our application area, including:

• Technical ownership of the solutions in your domain
• Owning the implementation of solution backlogs
• Contributing to the application area vision, roadmap and ROI
• Writing definitions and specifications for the applications in your domain
• Managing and coordinating testing and releases
• Ownership of the IT compliance such as regulatory and governance requirements, risk controls and operational practices in your domain
• Working closely with developers, architects, compliance, business stakeholders and vendors to deliver solutions that are secure, user-friendly and future-proof

Expected experience and skills

• Solid understanding of digital authentication and identity solutions, and how they are used as part of modern digital channels
• Understanding the role of authentication, authorization and session management in customer‑facing services, and are familiar with common identity standards and concepts
• Gathering and documenting requirements and translating regulatory, security and business requirements into sustainable product decisions and guide the development of authentication solutions in close collaboration with business, architecture and external partners
• Basic knowledge in banking
• Experience in key roles in IT delivery, preferably previous experience of product ownership role
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills as well as prioritization skills
• Excellent understanding of business processes and IT development
• We expect a good candidate to be able to work both in Finnish and English
