Workplace relations officer perm role based in inner Sydney up to $142k plus super

A leading, complex organisation is seeking a Workplace Compliance Officer to join their Workplace Relations/Compliance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a growing function focused on ensuring compliance with industrial obligations, improving governance frameworks, and supporting organisational risk management.


Your new role

Reporting to a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in delivering consistent and timely advice on workplace compliance matters, including employee pay entitlements and industrial agreement interpretation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify risks, support investigations, and drive continuous improvement across compliance processes.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on workplace compliance and pay-related matters
  • Conducting preliminary assessments and investigations into potential non-compliance
  • Supporting monitoring, tracking, and reporting of compliance activities
  • Engaging with stakeholders to respond to queries and build compliance awareness
  • Assisting in the review and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Contributing to data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

What you'll need to succeed


  • Experience supporting workplace compliance or industrial relations matters
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and frameworks
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders and providing clear, practical advice
  • Strong written communication skills, including report writing
  • Experience working with data (Excel capability highly regarded)
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
