Network Engineer - Cisco – Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer specializing in Cisco technologies to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT Networking and a proven track record in network administration, preferably in a senior or lead role.
This role involves working closely with in-house engineers to augment network projects, including installing new infrastructure, implementing Arista infrastructure, and managing firewall changes.
The position requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Collaborate with current network engineers to support and enhance network projects.
Install and configure new Meraki infrastructure, including MX gateways and 48-port switches.
Implement and modernize Arista infrastructure, focusing on subnetting and network isolation.
Serve as the point of contact for overnight cutover activities.
Manage day-to-day firewall changes, troubleshooting, and project adjustments.
Assist with structured cabling and the installation of new equipment.
Document and maintain network procedures.

Network Engineer - Cisco – Mandatory Skills

10+ years of work experience in IT Networking or equivalent transferrable experience and education.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
Proven experience in network administration, preferably in a senior or lead role.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security, and best practices.
Experience with Cisco Meraki, Arista hardware, and Palo Alto/ Panorama Firewall management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Network Engineer - Cisco – Preferred Skills

Proven leadership abilities, including effective knowledge sharing and conflict resolution.
Ability to manage tasks independently and build long-term relationships with customers.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to interface with a broad range of people and roles.
Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining procedures.
