About the Role

Our automotive customer’s Looking for Software Engineer in Power Electronics. You will be the part Software department which is recognized as one of the most successful teams in the industry when it comes to software development for electric vehicles. They deliver advanced system solutions and software functionality for inverters used across their electrified vehicle platforms. Their vision is clear: develop the most innovative, high‑performing functions on the market while continuously evolving their software platform.


Who You Are

You’re passionate about developing complex mechatronic systems within vehicle electrification, electronics, and embedded systems. You thrive on taking engineering challenges from concept and business case all the way to mass production.

You bring senior experience in Power Electronics, take initiative naturally, and deliver with precision and quality. You’re a collaborative team player who elevates those around you and actively builds strong networks.


What You Will Do

You’ll join the Motor Controls team, responsible for developing an in‑house Electric Motor Control Application from the ground up. The core mission: realize the requested electric machine torque in the most optimal way under all operating conditions.

Because the software is built bottom‑up in an embedded environment, the team owns the full development chain, including:

  • Architectural design & concept studies
  • Development environment setup
  • Functionality development
  • Software verification (Unit Test, MIL, SIL, HIL, rig/dyno)
  • Documentation & requirements review

The team works with MATLAB/Simulink and code generation for application software, and direct C coding for lower‑level inverter drivers and communication. Development is iterative, using Git and Gerrit for rapid feedback and collaboration.

In this role, you’ll be part of a fast‑paced team delivering state‑of‑the‑art functionality and calibrations. You’ll work across all phases—from design and implementation to vehicle testing and fine‑tuning


Essential Skills

  • Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Theory
  • Strong competence in electric machine control (PMSM, ASM)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Expert‑level MATLAB/Simulink for controls development
  • Experience with calibration in test rigs and vehicles
  • Familiarity with MCD tools such as INCA and CANalyzer
  • Category B driver’s license


Meritorious Skills

  • Embedded software development experience
  • Experience with modern IDEs and debuggers
  • Knowledge of Python, C, or C++
  • Experience with AUTOSAR architecture, workflows, and toolchains
  • Strong English communication skills, especially for explaining complex solutions
