Head of DevOps

Responsibilities:

• Lead transformational initiatives at one of the world’s most technologically advanced financial institutions
• This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of technology, strategy, and innovation — shaping the next generation of cloud infrastructure, developer experience, automation, resiliency, and platform engineering at massive scale.
• You will lead high-performing engineering teams across regions, influence senior technology and business stakeholders, and drive the modernization of one of the industry's most sophisticated technology environments.
• Define and execute the enterprise DevOps and platform engineering strategy across global technology organizations
• Lead the modernization of infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, observability, automation, and site reliability engineering practices
• Build scalable, secure, highly resilient engineering platforms supporting mission-critical banking and trading applications
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Champion engineering excellence, developer productivity, automation-first culture, and operational resilience
• Partner closely with CTOs, application development leaders, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
• Establish and govern best practices for release engineering, infrastructure as code, containerization, and platform security
• Lead globally distributed teams of DevOps engineers, SREs, platform engineers, and technical leads
• Manage large-scale technology programs, budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic transformation initiatives
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, risk, and operational requirements in a highly regulated financial environment

Requirements:

• Experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering within large-scale enterprise environments
• Proven leadership experience managing global engineering organizations and large transformation programs
• Strong expertise in:
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Kubernetes and container orchestration
• CI/CD and release automation
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Observability and monitoring platforms
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Enterprise security and resiliency practices
• Deep understanding of modern software engineering and platform engineering principles
• Experience operating within highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, or fintech preferred
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries and drive change at scale
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
