About the Role

Location: Sydney.

Overview: The role contributes to migration of .NET/C# applications related CI/CD layer from TeamCity to GitHub Actions migration, DevOps guardrails, dependency remediation, deployment modernisation, virtualised testing, and SRE uplift.

Must have skills:

• GitHub Actions workflow engineering: hands-on YAML workflow design, reusable workflows, environment variables, secrets, runners, and Golden Path templates.
• Build C#/.NET Core applications: Must have past experience in building .NET based APIs/applications.
• TeamCity/Jenkins (or) equivalent CI tools: ability to interpret TeamCity build configurations and convert them to GHA workflows or review PRs produced by the modernisation process.
• CI/CD and platform engineering: strong understanding of build, validation, packaging, deployment pipeline design, pipeline governance, and cutover planning.
• PowerShell and automation: ability to read, refactor, replace, or modernise PowerShell-based build/deployment automation rather than simply lifting legacy scripts unchanged.
• DevOps controls: integrate and enforce Snyk, SAST/quality gates, SonarQube, Wiz/IaC scanning where applicable, vulnerability thresholds, and fail conditions in CI.
• Repository governance: Git/GitHub, branch protection, PR workflows, CODEOWNERS, repo metadata, ownership, and automated SDLC/audit evidence generation.
• Artifact and package management: Artifactory, NuGet/NPM feeds, package versioning, dependency resolution, and build artifact packaging.

Good to have skills:

• Octopus deployment knowledge and deployment modernisation experience, including migration toward GitHub Actions based deployment patterns.
• AWS cloud engineering, AMI builds, Windows Server/IIS, IAM/networking fundamentals, and operational automation.
• Contract testing with Specmatic or equivalent API compatibility tooling.
• Selenium to Playwright migration, test suite remediation, coverage gates, and CI-based test scheduling/triggering.
• Mock data, mock APIs, and virtualised test environments for early-stage testing.
