Backend Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Job Description

Are you a Senior Backend Software Engineer who thrives on complexity and ownership? In this role, you are the technical authority on systems within an international environment. You act as the go-to expert for backend-related challenges while seamlessly connecting backend development with the broader software organization. You don’t just build systems, you ensure they are scalable, maintainable and aligned across disciplines.

What will you do?

• You act as the technical lead and knowledge hub for backend and backoffice-related topics
• You design, develop and optimize backend services using .NET and C#
• You are the technical coach for other Backend Engineers
• You translate business and system requirements into robust technical solutions
• You collaborate closely with frontend and other software teams to ensure smooth integration
• You align backend architecture with overall software strategy and system landscape
• You support and guide developers by sharing knowledge and setting technical direction
• You analyze complex issues and drive structural improvements in code and architecture
• You work in an international environment with stakeholders across different regions

Your profile

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• You have extensive experience in backend development with .NET and C#
• You have strong architectural insight and understand system integration challenges
• You have a solid understanding of frontend concepts and can effectively communicate with frontend teams
• You are experienced in working within complex, international software environments
• You are a strong communicator and can act as a bridge between teams and disciplines
• You take ownership and are comfortable being the technical reference within an organization
