Electronics Software Developer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Power Electronics Software Developer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver advanced software functionality for electric drive systems, focusing on motor control applications within inverter systems.

You will be part of a fast-paced and innovative team responsible for building in-house electric motor control software from the ground up, contributing across the full development lifecycle—from concept to production.

• Design and develop electric motor control software for inverter systems
• Contribute to architecture, concept studies, and system design
• Perform software development, verification, and validation (Unit Test, MIL, SIL, HIL, rig/dyno)
• Work with model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink and code generation
• Develop low-level embedded software (C) for inverter drivers and communication
• Support vehicle testing, calibration, and fine-tuning of functionality
• Collaborate closely with team members using Agile ways of working (Git, Gerrit, iterative development)
• Participate in requirements review and technical documentation

Experience / Background

• Master’s degree in Electric Power Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Theory
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong experience in electric machine control (PMSM, ASM)
• Expert knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for control development
• Experience in calibration activities in test rigs and vehicles
• Hands-on experience with MCD tools (e.g., INCA, CANalyzer)
• Valid Category B driving license

Nice to Have

• Experience in embedded software development
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Experience with AUTOSAR architecture and toolchains
• Familiarity with modern development environments and debugging tools
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions
