Your job
As a financial analyst, you have an eye for both accounting and finance. You have a strong product knowledge, and you are also aware of IFRS accounting principles.
You will work in a team to manage daily accounting. You will prepare daily and monthly reports. You will analyze and explain changes in the figures, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders. You will join cross-functional teams and represent Finance in projects during design, testing, and implementation stages.
You have affinity with finance and financial markets which will help you analyze FMO's ledger and positions. You are assertive, eager to learn, and precise when interpreting data. You enjoy the financial complexity of our products and aim to enhance our financial reporting quality. You produce reports in which you draw conclusions and make recommendations. You want to know how we manage processes to ensure overall quality. You drive change and are continuously on the look-out for improvements. You can make yourself familiar with the complex environments we operate in. You are quick to translate current events into appropriate action.

The Finance and Control team is part of the Finance, Impact & Data department. The team consists of 24 professionals, who are in charge of for daily Accounting, (Regulatory) Reporting, IFRS Policies and Controlling. Due to the team's international and diverse nature, team members primarily communicate in English.

Our Offer
For This Position We Offer You
- Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 55-67K (based on 40 hours/ week, including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month) depending on your seniority, years of relevant experience, and background .
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Pension scheme, partly paid by FMO.
- 31 holidays
- Hybrid way of working (50/50).
- Working remotely abroad for maximum 60 days in a rolling period of 12 months.

- Master’s or bachelors degree in Business, Accounting (HBO accountancy, SPD), Controlling or similar degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance/banking/audit.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and standards.
- Understanding balance sheet and P&L movement and drivers
- You are able to clearly express yourself towards co-workers and customers.
- Drive to continuously improve your own work environment and processes.
- Team player, positive attitude, willingness to learn.
- Strong verbal/writing skills in English.
