Tournament Software is the global market leader in racket sports technology, the platform
behind tournaments, competitions, rankings, and real-time scores for tennis, padel, and
badminton worldwide. Sports federations, clubs, and players in over 160 countries rely on it
every day.
From our office in Alkmaar, a team of around 30 people builds the technology that keeps the
global racket sports community connected. We've been growing at over 15% a year, and we're
just getting started. The next phase of international expansion is already underway.
What you'll work on
The Website team works on the core Tournament Software web platform: a mature C#/.NET
application used by sports organizations, clubs, tournament organizers and players to manage
tournaments, competitions, registrations, rankings and results.
You'll work across backend functionality, SQL data access, Razor/CSHTML. The work is a mix of
building new features, improving existing functionality and solving complex bugs in a
production system.
A big part of the role is understanding how things currently work, tracing issues through code
and data, and making safe, maintainable improvements. You'll own a slice of the work end to end:
from understanding the problem to production. "Done" means customers are using it reliably
and getting value from it.
The environment
The codebase has 30 years of domain logic built by people who know racket sports inside out.
Yes, there's legacy, and yes, there's room to modernise. But that's exactly where the opportunity
is. You'll work on systems that handle 40,000 tournaments a year, with a team that has the
ambition and the backing to do things properly going forward.
If you're the kind of developer who finds satisfaction in making complex systems cleaner, faster
and more reliable, and seeing that work matter to real users, this is a genuinely interesting place
to be.
