Tournament Software

C#/.Net Fullstack Developer

Tournament Software
Netherlands · Contract · Mid-Senior

Tournament Software is the global market leader in racket sports technology, the platform

behind tournaments, competitions, rankings, and real-time scores for tennis, padel, and

badminton worldwide. Sports federations, clubs, and players in over 160 countries rely on it

every day.

From our office in Alkmaar, a team of around 30 people builds the technology that keeps the

global racket sports community connected. We've been growing at over 15% a year, and we're

just getting started. The next phase of international expansion is already underway.

What you'll work on

The Website team works on the core Tournament Software web platform: a mature C#/.NET

application used by sports organizations, clubs, tournament organizers and players to manage

tournaments, competitions, registrations, rankings and results.

You'll work across backend functionality, SQL data access, Razor/CSHTML. The work is a mix of

building new features, improving existing functionality and solving complex bugs in a

production system.

A big part of the role is understanding how things currently work, tracing issues through code

and data, and making safe, maintainable improvements. You'll own a slice of the work end to end:

from understanding the problem to production. "Done" means customers are using it reliably

and getting value from it.

The environment

The codebase has 30 years of domain logic built by people who know racket sports inside out.

Yes, there's legacy, and yes, there's room to modernise. But that's exactly where the opportunity

is. You'll work on systems that handle 40,000 tournaments a year, with a team that has the

ambition and the backing to do things properly going forward.

If you're the kind of developer who finds satisfaction in making complex systems cleaner, faster

and more reliable, and seeing that work matter to real users, this is a genuinely interesting place

to be.

About you

  • Solid C#, .NET, and SQL experience (non-negotiable)
  • You've worked on web applications end to end: from backend and db access logic through to Razor/CSHTML views
  • A track record of shipping features to production
  • Comfortable operating in a large long-lived codebase
  • You think in problem solving, not tickets
  • Can commute to Alkmaar 3 days per week: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday. Make sure you're roughly within 40 minutes travel.
  • Nice to have: SQL Server experience specifically, affinity with racket sports

Why you want to work at Tournament Software

  • Your code runs tournaments for federations across 160 countries, the impact is real and the scale is global
  • You'll collaborate directly with international sports organisations, from national tennis federations to badminton associations across four continents
  • The product is genuinely unique, and so is the community you're building for
  • Real room to grow in seniority and to develop your own approach, not just execute someone else's playbook
  • Competitive employment conditions, including pension (~2.5%), travel allowance
  • Choice to work between 28 and 40 hours/week
