We are looking for our next RTW Designer. This position is responsible for creating garments and accessories that are both culturally relevant and of exceptional quality. The role involves translating the brand's creative vision into menswear and womenswear products that demonstrate technical excellence, market relevance, and cultural resonance.

By combining creative insight with meticulous attention to detail, you ensure every piece accurately represents Axel Arigato's comprehensive design philosophy.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You are curious, culturally aware, and thrive in a collaborative environment - someone who brings both creative sensitivity and technical discipline to every piece.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Creative Director in daily design operations - maintaining structured systems, mood boards, and effective file organization, presentations, and collection cohesion
  • Stay on top of market trends, consistently bringing in new silhouette, trim, graphic, and material ideas
  • Contribute original product design and concepts through comprehensive research, curated references, appropriate mood boards, and innovative fabric ideas
  • Interpret conceptual sketches into precise technical drawings, develop detailed tech packs, and prepare specifications across various categories
  • Take responsibility for garment construction - demonstrate a strong understanding of patterns, deliver technical solutions, and ensure specification accuracy
  • Foster brand identity consistency in close collaboration with the Creative Director
  • Collaborate with Product Development and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to production
  • Oversee fittings throughout all stages in collaboration with PD - including measurements, fit comments, file updates, and preparation of final handover materials

ARE YOU THE ONE?

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in RTW design, including technical design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience with AI design tools is an advantage
  • Attention to detail - in construction, specification, and finish
  • Knowledge of market trends and luxury fabrics
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time planning skills
  • A collaborative mindset and team player attitude

HERE'S HOW TO APPLY If you are ready to bring your design perspective and technical precision to a creative team building something considered, apply today and join the next chapter of our creative journey.

Apply by submitting your CV. We also welcome a short cover letter telling us why you think you would be a great fit for this role. Please do not include a photo or date of birth with your application; our recruitment process is competency based.

A BIT ABOUT AXEL ARIGATO Founded in Sweden in 2014 by Albin Johansson and Max Svärdh, Axel Arigato was born with a disruptive mindset, modernising and democratising the sneaker landscape through a blend of style, quality, community and a digital-first approach.

Grounded in Scandinavian minimalism and elevated with playful, intentional details, every piece is designed with care: crafted to move globally, worn with individuality.

What began online expanded into physical spaces built for energetic cultural exchange: stores and experiences where conversations, performances and unexpected activations dissolve the boundaries between brand and culture.

Today, Axel Arigato continues to evolve with purpose via a people-powered approach. It shows up where culture happens: on streets, at events and across cities.

Built on curiosity. Driven by connection.

OUR VALUES DROP: Diversity, Respect, Openness and Passion are our core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds.
