The client is looking for a UI/UX designer skilled in Figma and with a strong focus on multi-channel design, who will work closely with stakeholders in the organization and IT teams to deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences on digital platforms.

As an IT-focused UI/UX designer, you balance technical feasibility with business requirements to create innovative and effective design solutions. Your hands-on approach ensures that designs are executed seamlessly, from concept to implementation, with a focus on user needs, technical constraints, and business and citizen objectives.

You are part of the Customer Service IT teams. The Customer Service domain consists of the SFP's IT applications that provide automated communication and assistance to citizens (for example: mijnpensioen.be, websites, correspondence).

Our IT team is physically located next to the business teams (Cx – Customer Experience) to enable close collaboration.

I/UX design creation and execution

ands-on design work: Leading the design process from ideation and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes, primarily using Figma.M

ulti-channel interfaces: They have consistent interfaces and are responsive across both channels, web, desktop and digital platforms.U

ser-centric design: Conduct user research, develop personas and compelling user flows to deeply understand user needs, goals and problems. Integrate intuitively, the visual effect is right and you see how it changes when it comes to light and business objectives.I

terative design process: Take an agile approach, where designs are continuously reviewed based on feedback from stakeholders, users and IT teamsC

nderstand the needs of the organization: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand project objectives, KPIs and user requirements, so that design solutions align with business strategies and objectives.D

esign for Impact: Translate organizational needs into actionable design solutions that not only meet organizational goals but also improve the user experience.P

resent Design Concepts: Clearly communicate design ideas to business teams and stakeholders, advocate for user-centered design principles, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

ollaborate with IT and Development Teams

esign Feasibility: Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, taking into account any constraints or limitations imposed by the technology stack.D

esign Handoff and Support: Provide detailed design specifications, assets, and interactive prototypes to the development team via Figma to ensure designs are implemented correctly. Be available to answer any questions or challenges during the development process.T

echnical Alignment: Ensure designs are optimized for performance and adapted for different devices, taking into account platform-specific guidelines (e.g., web, mobile, desktop).P

rototyping, Testing, and Iterations

nteractive Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes in Figma to demonstrate user flows, interactions, and transitions, enabling early feedback and validation.U

ser Testing: Perform usability testing to evaluate the effectiveness of designs, gather feedback from real users, and iterate on designs based on the results to improve usability and functionality.F

eedback Integration: Actively gather feedback from business, user, and IT teams to make iterative improvements and ensure final designs meet user and organizational needsD

esign Systems and Component Libraries

esign System Development: Create and maintain a scalable, modular design system in Figma, ensuring consistency across the product suite and enabling faster, more efficient design and development workflows.C

omponent Libraries: Develop reusable components and design assets that streamline design and development and ensure consistency across platforms and projectsC

ollaboration and Documentation

lear Communication: Ensure clear communication with organizational stakeholders and IT teams, provide regular updates on design progress, and respond to any concerns or changes in requirements.D

ocumentation: Document design decisions, design systems, and user flows to ensure alignment across team members and support future design initiativesC

ontinue improvement and learning

rend Awareness: Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, especially as they relate to Figma and multi-channel design, so that designs are modern, functional, and accessible.A

gile Methodology: Work within agile sprints, participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to continually improve design processes and outcomes

I/UX Design Expertise: Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, user flows, interaction design, and visual design.A

gile Methodology: Experience working in an agile development environment, including iterative design processes and regular collaboration with development teams.M

ulti-Channel Design: Hands-on design of experiences for multiple platforms (web, iOS, Android, desktop), with a focus on creating consistent and adaptive user experiences across devices.P

rototyping and Testing: Experience creating interactive prototypes and performing usability tests to validate design decisions and improve the user experience.F

igma Mastery: Advanced skills in using Figma to design high-fidelity user interfaces, create prototypes, and manage design systems.F

ront-end Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, Angular, elasticCMS, etc.) to ensure designs are feasible and can be implemented effectively.U

sability Testing: Strong experience in planning, executing, and analyzing usability tests to gather insights and optimize designs.P

roject Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Confluence, or similar tools to track progress and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
