Title: Linux System Engineer
Duration (C/P): Permanent
Location: Remote local to Vienna, Austria
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems: RHEL and Ubuntu, including kernel internals, file systems, and networking.
- Virtualization expertise: Proficiency in technologies like KVM, VMware, or Xen.
- Configuration management: Experience with tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Cloud platforms: Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their virtualization offerings.
- Security: Understanding of security best practices for Linux systems.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
Plus:
- Kickstart and Red Hat Satellite Server: Proficiency in using these tools for system installation and management.
- System updates and upgrades: Experience with patching and updating Linux systems.
- Linux support: Ability to assist software developers with Linux-related questions.
- System tuning: Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
- Networking basics: Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).
- Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
