About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer with expertise in AWS and AI architecture to join our client's dynamic team in Brighton, East Sussex. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative benefits of onsite presence. As a key member of the development team, you will take full ownership of the backend infrastructure of a sophisticated CRM and Asset Management platform being built from the ground up. You will work closely with a front-end specialist and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems. Your role will encompass architecting cloud infrastructure, managing hybrid database strategies, and integrating advanced AI functionalities, including Anthropic Claude AI, to enable intelligent automation and data insights.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, with proven experience in building complex backend systems using .NET technologies. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with professional experience in cloud computing and AI integration. Certifications such as AWS Developer or Solutions Architect are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server, with hands-on experience in AWS services like EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3. Familiarity with DynamoDB, Anthropic Claude API, and security protocols such as JWT and OAuth 2.0 is essential. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend architecture of a sophisticated CRM and Asset Management platform using .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Lead the implementation of a hybrid database strategy utilizing SQL Server (via Entity Framework Core) for relational data and DynamoDB for flexible, user-defined asset records.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure components including EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3, ensuring high availability and security.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline to streamline deployment processes.
• Integrate Anthropic Claude AI or similar large language models to enable intelligent automation, data analysis, and enhanced user experiences.
• Implement robust security measures including authentication and authorization protocols like JWT, OAuth 2.0, and ASP.NET Core Identity.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to design clean, well-documented APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
• Make architectural decisions independently, providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance the platform's capabilities.
