Finance Manager (Senior Accountant) – Private Investment Office
We are supporting a private investment office as it transitions into a newly licensed asset management entity within Oman’s emerging financial centre.
This is a pivotal early-stage hire and a key role in building the financial foundation of the platform. The Finance Manager will be responsible for establishing robust financial infrastructure, governance, and reporting standards as the organisation evolves from a traditional family office into a regulated investment management business.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Investment Manager and wider investment team, supporting both operational finance and investment-related financial oversight.
• Oversee full financial accounting and reporting across the investment platform and underlying entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with international standards (IFRS preferred)
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and internal financial controls across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Fund & Investment Accounting• Support accounting and reporting across multiple asset classes (public markets, private equity, real estate, alternatives)
• Monitor investment performance, valuations, and cash flows in coordination with the investment team
• Assist with NAV calculations and portfolio-level reporting where applicable
Regulatory & Compliance Readiness• Support the transition to a regulated asset management structure, including reporting and audit readiness
• Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and service providers
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory frameworks and evolving requirements
Budgeting & Financial Planning• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor operating expenses and provide variance analysis
• Support strategic financial planning as the platform scales
Operational Build-Out• Help establish finance processes, systems, and internal controls from the ground up
• Work closely with legal, compliance, and external advisors during the setup phase
• Support selection and implementation of financial systems and reporting tools
Candidate Profile• 8+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles
• Mandatory buy-side experience (family office, asset management, private equity, or investment platform)
• Strong knowledge of investment accounting, fund structures, and portfolio reporting
• Experience in or exposure to regulated financial services environment highly preferred
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or equivalent)

• Commercially aware with ability to engage investment professionals
• High level of discretion and professionalism suited to a private investment environment
