Senior Network Engineer

We are working with a well-established IT service provider that operates and develops central IT services for a large Austrian corporate group. They leverage modern technologies and stable infrastructure solutions to support numerous locations both domestically and internationally.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain security-relevant network services, focusing on firewall, VPN, and proxy solutions
  • Build, administer, and maintain cross-location network infrastructure
  • Design and operate load-balancing and application delivery systems
  • Implement modern approaches in network automation and central infrastructure management
  • Automate recurring tasks on routing and switching platforms
  • Contribute to regulatory infrastructure projects, particularly in DORA and segmentation concepts
  • Analyze and resolve complex network and security issues in 2nd-level support

What You'll Need

  • Completed technical education in IT (HTL, FH, or university) combined with relevant practical experience
  • Strong understanding of current network and IT security technologies
  • Proficient in command-line environments and scripting languages
  • Experience operating Windows and Linux systems from a network/infrastructure perspective
  • Structured, independent, and analytical work style with strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
  • Practical experience in firewalling, VPN technologies (ideally Palo Alto), proxy infrastructures, and ADC/content switching solutions like NetScaler
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for national and international assignments
