Junior Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)

We're looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our team and help build the infrastructure powering a real-time sports trading platform.

Our technology aggregates odds and liquidity from multiple sportsbooks into a single system, allowing users to access the best available prices and execute trades seamlessly across different venues.

As part of a small and ambitious engineering team, you'll work on backend services, APIs, databases and distributed systems where performance, scalability and reliability are critical.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Designing and building scalable APIs
• Working with SQL databases and data-intensive applications
• Contributing to distributed and event-driven systems
• Optimising performance, latency and reliability
• Collaborating closely with engineers in a fast-moving environment
  
  

Must-have Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of professional backend development experience
• Strong experience with:
• Node.js
• TypeScript
• SQL
• Experience building and maintaining APIs
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
• Strong understanding of backend fundamentals
• EU work eligibility
• Availability to work from Lisbon on a hybrid basis
