Frontend Engineer Intern

Tech Pipeline is looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to help us build and refine the interfaces that operations teams use to manage complex daily workflows. We work directly with our clients to resolve operational friction, rebuilding outdated enterprise tools into clear, usable interfaces. For this engagement, our partner is a leading European logistics provider that needs to clear persistent transaction backlogs across its shipping and tracking systems.

About the role
In this role, you will help us transition complex backend processes into clean, intuitive web applications. Many of our clients have teams struggling with data entry errors because their main administrative views are cluttered or broken. Working in a hybrid setup from our collaborative workspace, you will work close to the technical reality of the client's operations. You will help our core team turn complicated routing rules into fast, accessible dashboard views. Doing this well means checking in with the operators who actually use the software, reading the logs to find where the frontend state gets out of sync, and writing the code needed to make daily reconciliation tasks simpler.

What you will be doing

• Building clean, functional UI components using modern frontend fundamentals like React and Tailwind CSS.
• Reading the logs and frontend errors to trace the problem when an operator cannot submit an assignment or clear an order.
• Working through backlogs of small layout issues, form validation bugs, and sorting errors in our data tables.
• Clearing administrative hurdles by simplifying multi-step submission flows into clear, single-purpose pages.
• Learning how to open the system and trace how frontend actions interact with underlying databases.
• Writing clear documentation detailing how our components connect to client APIs for future maintenance handovers.

What we need from you

• A strong foundation in CSS, HTML, and browser javascript, with some exposure to React or similar UI libraries.
• An ability to look at browser console logs and dev tools to figure out why an interface is behaving unexpectedly.
• A practical approach to writing code, prioritizing clear layouts and fast loads over custom animations or complex frameworks.
• Clear, clean written communication, which helps us write better user documentation and technical updates.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when reviewing patterns or matching designs to user requirements.
• Curiosity about how internal operations work and how software can make direct physical work easier.

Helpful background

• Some exposure to modern state management libraries or state-handling loops in React.
• Prior experience working on small coding projects, whether for coursework, personal web pages, or local organizations.
• Basic familiarity with Git commands like push, pull, commit, and managing local branches.
