Forward Deployed AI/ML Model Engineer | Zurich (Hybrid) |

A well-established Swiss RegTech company (1,000+ clients, 80+ countries) is hiring a Forward Deployed AI/ML Model Engineer to join their R&D team in Zurich.

This is a hands-on model engineering role with a client-facing dimension. You'll build, tune and deploy ML models directly into banking client environments, including air-gapped and on-premises deployments. This is not a research or internal tooling role, instead you will be owning models in production, inside regulated financial infrastructure.

What you'll be doing:

• Building, fine-tuning and monitoring AI/ML models (fraud detection, AML, sanctions screening) running on Kubernetes
• Owning the full MLOps stack: training pipelines, inference workloads, model validation, data assets
• Working directly with clients to deploy and tune models in their environments, including air-gapped scenarios with or without GPU
• Contributing to architecture decisions across the ML platform

Skills:

• 5+ years hands-on ML model engineering: LLM fine-tuning, GNN design, data engineering
• Production-grade MLOps: MLFlow, PyTorch Distributed, NeMo, Ray, Spark, Delta Lake, ONNX
• Kubernetes in production (Helm a plus)
• Experience deploying in security-sensitive environments (finance, defence, health) is a strong advantage
• English required. Strong communicator who can work across engineering and client teams.

Full Time Permanent position in Zurich - 3 days a week in the office
