The Role

We are partnered with a world class IT services provider based in Spain but working with clients on a global scale who are looking to add an Infrastructure Security Engineer to their growing team.

Most Security Engineer roles end up with you owning one platform and getting very good at that one thing without learning new areas. This one is different.

You’ll be the fifth Security Engineer into the growing team, spending roughly 40% of your time keeping things running and 60% on projects such as deploying new products building out new capabilities or expanding coverage to new clients. The technologies you’ll spend the most time working with are SIEM, WAF and Vulnerability Management platforms which you will engineer, deploy, maintain and improve.

You’ll be working hands-on in on-premise / hybrid infrastructure security with a focus on:

• Design, deployment and support of Security Technologies (Firewalls, SIEM and Vulnerability Management platforms)
• Hardening and Securing (Windows & Linux Servers, network devices and physical data centres)
• Automation and Scripting for Security Operations (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)
• Hybrid Environment security (applying security controls to Infrastructure and integrating with private / public cloud services)

The Successful Infrastructure Security Engineer will have:

• Previous experience in a similar Infrastructure Security role
• Extensive knowledge of relevant Security Infrastructure tooling such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Splunk, QRadar, Palo Alto and Fortinet
• Practical knowledge of Security controls, Industry standards and Security appliance management
• Highly organised and adaptable with an agile approach and excellent teamworking and communication skills
