At Nexans, people and performance go hand in hand. At our Grimsås site in Sweden, we are looking for an HR Business Partner for our blue‑collar workforce to support our operational organization and contribute to a safe, compliant, and engaging workplace.

In this role, you will work closely with site management, first‑line managers, union representatives, and the Swedish HR team. You will act as a trusted partner, supporting both day‑to‑day operational HR matters and longer‑term people and organizational development.

The position is based on‑site in Grimsås, Sweden, and reports to the HRBP Manager Sweden.

Getting a Flying Start

As HR Business Partner, you play a direct role in supporting the site’s operational performance and long‑term sustainability. By ensuring consistent application of HR policies, Swedish labor law, and collective agreements, you help reduce operational risk, maintain compliance, and create stability in day‑to‑day operations.

Through close partnership with managers, you enable effective people management that supports productivity, workforce planning, and operational continuity. Your work in employee relations and union collaboration contributes to constructive social dialogue, minimizing disruptions and supporting smooth implementation of business decisions and organizational changes.

How You Make an Impact

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to site management and first‑line managers within Operations
  • Support and promote health, safety, and well‑being, in line with Nexans safety rules and Swedish work environment legislation
  • Serve as the main HR contact for union representatives, maintaining transparent and constructive industrial relations
  • Prepare and participate in local union negotiations
  • Support all HR operational processes for blue‑collar employees, including recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, and terminations
  • Contribute to workforce planning and ensure effective staffing aligned with business needs
  • Support and drive change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Support performance management processes and identify development and training needs in collaboration with managers
  • Develop and support employee engagement initiatives to strengthen motivation, involvement, and retention
  • Ensure compliance with labor law, collective agreements, GDPR, and Nexans policies

Your Starting Points

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably in a unionized and/or manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in union collaboration and negotiations under Swedish labor law and collective agreements
  • Good knowledge of HR processes and experience working with HRIS tools
  • Solid understanding of work environment legislation (Arbetsmiljölagen) and systematic work environment management (SAM)
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
