Dawn InfoTek Inc. is a professional IT consulting team that partners with major financial institutions, investment firms, and government sectors. We are currently seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic team for our client in the public sector.


Role: Senior UX Designer

Type: Contract

Start Date: August 4, 2026

End Date: May 4, 2027

Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite


About the Role

The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for designing and delivering intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role involves creating high-quality user interfaces, conducting user research, translating findings into actionable design artifacts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product vision and delivery.


Key Responsibilities

• Design user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces for web, mobile, and digital platforms

• Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, user flows, journey maps, and sitemaps

• Conduct user research using interviews, surveys, usability testing, A/B testing, and behavioral analysis

• Translate user needs, research findings, and business requirements into intuitive design solutions

• Apply iterative design practices based on user feedback, usability testing, and accessibility best practices

• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, technical teams, and product teams

• Facilitate design workshops, co-creation sessions, stakeholder reviews, and alignment meetings

• Ensure deliverables follow AODA/WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles

• Prepare research findings, design recommendations, and presentation materials for stakeholders

• Support implementation teams by clearly documenting design specifications and assets


Required Skills and Experience

• Senior-level experience in UX/UI design and user-centered design

• Experience designing effective, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces across web, mobile, and digital platforms

• Strong experience creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, and sitemaps

• Experience with Ontario Design System (ODS)

• Experience planning and conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing

• Ability to analyze user needs, behaviours, and motivations to inform design decisions

• Strong experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, Miro, Adobe XD, or similar tools

• Strong facilitation skills and ability to work with technical teams, business teams, and senior stakeholders

• Ability to draw consensus across multiple stakeholder groups

• Strong understanding of AODA/WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices

• Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
