Assistant Accountant

Our client a leading educational body are hiring an Assistant Accountant to support tax administration, treasury operations, and financial governance.


This role provides administrative and financial support including reconciliations, compliance tracking, document management, and assistance with tax returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes. This position suits a detail-oriented individual seeking to build experience in a professional finance environment.


This role is initially being offered on a contract basis and is for an immediate start.


Key Duties

  • Support treasury and banking activities, including postings, cashflow tracking, and reconciliations
  • Assist with VAT, RCT, and PSWT compliance and deadline tracking
  • Support governance, audit, and policy documentation
  • Provide general administrative and reporting support


Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–3 years’ relevant finance experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to meet deadlines with good communication skills
