Objective of the position
As a Procurement Product Line Manager (PPLM), you support product programs within a specific business unit. You lead program launches and product lifecycle management activities for the Procurement department by developing and driving (procurement) project plans for new product introductions, cost-reduction initiatives, escalation and resourcing projects, and ongoing program support throughout the product lifecycle.
You are responsible for maintaining project data, tracking new parts, and ensuring procurement activities remain aligned with program objectives. Acting as the primary interface between Procurement, Product Line Management, and Project Management teams, you facilitate clear communication and collaboration across stakeholders. In addition, you monitor the execution of sourcing decisions and supplier agreements, ensuring contracts are implemented effectively and procurement deliverables are met.

Objective of the position

Characterization of activities
- Lead material cost reduction initiatives (MCIP), driving BOM cost improvements and supporting profitability targets across new and existing programs.
- Ensure product line business case objectives are achieved, balancing quality, volume, cost, and margin (M&S) performance.
- Manage procurement activities throughout the product lifecycle, including program launches, PPAP readiness, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and flawless execution.
- Track, report, and present program status, procurement performance, and launch readiness at internal reviews and customer-facing meetings.
- Act as the key procurement liaison within cross-functional teams, collaborating with Product Line, Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, and Operations stakeholders.
- Develop and execute product line procurement roadmaps, commodity strategies, sourcing initiatives, and VA/VE projects to support long-term growth, cost optimization, and forecasted demand.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in new product launches, material cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and supplier development.
- Proven experience supporting cross-functional program launches and procurement activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and tools, including IATF 16949 and related quality methodologies, is an advantage.
- Experience working in a global organization and collaborating with international stakeholders is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
