Frontend Developer UAEN

The Specialist of Digital User Interface Development is responsible for meeting objectives of Web and Mobile (responsive) UI Development projects including functionality testing. The role requires end to end management of the UI development lifecycle for mobile, tablet and web, thus is imperative to the delivery of du’s visible presence in the digital ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities

• Transform provided wireframes from UX team into responsive html pages using Photoshop or similar tools.
• Development, testing and maintenance of front-end code, faulty triage and QA across our digital platforms.
• Work closely with UX team to implement pixel perfect responsive experiences in an agile environment.
• Make sure all front-end development (day to day and longer-term strategic change) is delivered on time, to budget & quality.
• Ensure all BAU and strategic projects are delivered effectively, and you’ll apply agile methodologies to the way we work.
• Ensure the visual conceptualization of interaction flow, screen layout, and behavior of features in line with digital brand guidelines. Create, maintain and continuously develop a library of technical specifications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript code frameworks like ReactJS & VueJS) and assets (User Interface components, interactive elements and layout templates) to improve operational efficiency.
• Produce multiple unique stylistic approaches to digital design problems to help address customer centric requirements.
• Continuously follow and implement latest UI development trends.
• Ensure our platforms meet a number of standards for accessibility, security and privacy.
• Work closely with the other teams within Digital Experience

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a UI Development role in Telecoms or subscription-based industry
• Web and responsive UI Development experience
• Excellent experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 & photo editing tools
• Experience with tracking tools like Google Analytics or similar
• Good understanding of IT systems and architecture, operational infrastructure, and usability testing
