Position: Fullstack Java Developer with Angular

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Hybrid: 2-3 times a week on the client´s office

Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium

Mandatory Languages: One of the national languages (Dutch and French) must be the mother tongue, and the other language must be understood and readable

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and versatile Fullstack Java Developer with Angular to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both backend development using Java and frontend development with Angular, along with a strong passion for delivering modern, scalable, and innovative solutions. You will work on cutting-edge projects using the latest technologies and best practices to build robust and user-friendly applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus.
  • Create dynamic and responsive frontend interfaces using Angular and modern web technologies.
  • Develop microservices-based architectures, leveraging tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
  • Build and integrate APIs using REST, GraphQL, and other modern standards.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and scaling applications.
  • Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Optimize application performance using advanced techniques such as caching (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and asynchronous programming.
  • Follow and promote agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure security best practices, including OAuth2, JWT, and secure coding standards.
  • Maintain and enhance database systems using SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends, proactively suggesting innovative approaches for development.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer with expertise in Java and Angular.
  • Strong backend development skills using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related technologies.
  • Expertise in modern Angular development, including RxJS, NgRx, and component-based architecture.
  • Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for deploying scalable solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and serverless architectures.
  • Knowledge of database systems, including both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git, and project management tools like JIRA or Trello.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional frontend frameworks or libraries like Bootstrap, Material Design, or TailwindCSS.
  • Knowledge of advanced security practices such as zero-trust architecture and encryption standards.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks for both frontend (Jasmine, Karma) and backend (JUnit, Mockito).
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic Stack (ELK).
