About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to join our FS client in Brussels. As an IT Project Manager, you will lead and manage a variety of IT projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and IT teams to define project goals, prioritize initiatives, and ensure smooth project execution in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resources required. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and senior management. Ensure all parties are informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and address project risks, issues, and roadblocks. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues to senior leadership as needed.
• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and manage resource allocation to ensure the project remains within financial parameters.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that the project meets required quality standards, including proper testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
• Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates on project status, key milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Change Management: Facilitate change requests and adjustments to project scope, timelines, and resources as needed.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT project management, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile) are a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, software development, cloud technologies, and IT security.
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French/Dutch (knowledge of both languages is a plus).
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to handle complex projects and resolve issues efficiently.
• Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
• Client-Facing Experience: Ability to manage client expectations and build strong relationships with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing Agile/Scrum projects.
• Understanding of the regulatory landscape in banking and financial services.
• Previous experience in digital transformation projects within the banking industry.
