Java Engineer

We are looking for a Java Engineer for an innovative AI startup building an AI-powered workflow automation platform. We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our client team during the MVP phase and grow with us as we scale our product.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based systems.
Implement AI/ML models and integrate them into production systems.
Optimize AI systems using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and multi-modal architectures.
Develop and test AI workflows, ensuring robustness, performance, and reliability.
Troubleshoot AI pipelines and resolve issues to maintain system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design AI-powered solutions aligned with business objectives.
Apply AI ethics principles, including fairness, transparency, and bias mitigation strategies.
Conduct prompt engineering to design, test, and refine prompts for AI systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

AI/ML Development Experience: Hands-on experience building AI/ML solutions with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and similar technologies.
Programming Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java and Python, with a focus on AI-driven applications.
AI/ML Expertise: Solid understanding of AI algorithms and architectures, particularly in multi-modal and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models.
Microservices Architecture: Familiarity with scalable and modular microservices development practices.
AI Tools Proficiency: Experience with tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex for AI system development.
Model Optimization Techniques: Expertise in embeddings, transfer learning, and fine-tuning models for enhanced performance.
AI Ethics Knowledge: Awareness of fairness, transparency, and bias mitigation strategies in AI development.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities in AI pipelines and models.
Prompt Engineering Skills: Experience designing, testing, and refining prompts for AI performance optimization.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for AI deployment.
Experience with DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of database systems, APIs, and data modeling.
