Position: Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (.NET/Azure/Angular/Vue) (NL + ENG)

Location: Ghent, Belgium

Hybrid: 2-3 times a week on the client´s office

Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium

Context:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join a team dedicated to the continued development of a quality control system for geographical and structured data. This role is part of a dynamic data platform team working on high-impact projects in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement user stories, ensuring technical quality.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests.
  • Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams, participating in daily standups, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment.
  • Ensure code is well-structured, maintainable, and tested.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation and release notes.
  • Lead technical discussions and coach junior developers.


Required Technical Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience with .NET Core REST services and ASP.NET Web API.
  • 3+ years of experience with EF Core and Microsoft Azure SQL for data storage.
  • Proven expertise in hosting and deploying solutions in Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD, Azure Pipelines).
  • Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and ASP.NET.
  • Ability to execute coding assignments efficiently, including testing and debugging.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies, with experience taking a leading role.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching development teams.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems using Akka.NET and messaging via Azure Service Bus.
  • Proficiency with Angular or Vue.js for SPA development.
  • Knowledge of modern deployment practices: Infrastructure as Code (Bicep templates, Azure CLI) and YAML pipelines.


Preferred Technical Competencies:

Experience with:

  • Development tools: Visual Studio, Rider, Visual Studio Code, GIT, Azure DevOps.
  • Hosting: Azure App Services, Functions, Blob Storage.
  • Security: OAuth 2.0, Azure KeyVaults.
  • Visualization: OpenLayers for geographic/structured data.


Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English (mandatory)
  • Basic understanding of French is a plus
