About the Role: Job Summary: 10+ yrs of exp As an Agile/Scrum Coach, you will be responsible for leading and guiding cross-functional teams through Agile transformation initiatives. Your role will involve mentoring teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other key stakeholders to effectively adopt and implement Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Agile Coaching & Mentorship: Guide and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Agile best practices, Scrum principles, and other Agile frameworks. Provide hands-on coaching in Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.), ensuring they are effective and outcome-driven. Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, accountability, and self-organization within teams.
- Agile Transformation: Lead and support Agile transformation efforts at the team, department, and organizational levels. Work with leadership to define Agile adoption strategies and provide guidance on scaling Agile across multiple teams or departments. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to elevate the Agile maturity across the organization.
- Collaboration & Facilitation: Facilitate the removal of impediments that hinder team progress and foster a culture of transparency and open communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure alignment with Agile practices. Promote Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts, etc.) and ensure teams are using them to drive meaningful improvements.
- Scrum Master Support: Provide support to Scrum Masters by coaching them on effective facilitation, conflict resolution, and leadership techniques. Assist Scrum Masters in dealing with organizational challenges and barriers that may impede Scrum adoption.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and experimentation within the teams. Lead retrospectives and support teams in identifying and implementing action items for continuous improvement. Advise on the adoption of Agile tools and software that facilitate team collaboration and productivity.
Required Skills:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with at least 2 years in a coaching or mentoring role. Extensive hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks. Proven experience in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams and departments (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Spotify model).
- Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum ceremonies, and Agile metrics. Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to foster a growth mindset and guide teams in overcoming obstacles. Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) is a plus.
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) required. Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF) or similar Agile coaching certifications are highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
