We are looking for Cloud Backend Developers to join our team that develops our connected home security product F-Secure SENSE. In this role you will get to impact and cheer the success of our product development by working together with a talented mix of professionals: developers, architect and product manager, who have a SENSE of belonging to a community with a mission of making world a safer place, for everyone.

As our Cloud Backend Developer, you will participate both “hands-on” in the product development and act as a thought leader and mentor for your teammates. Your team focuses especially on SENSE’s device registry of device data, that includes i.e., device identity service and other analytics that can be used to service our customers even better and identify emerging business areas by sharing findings amongst our Fellow community. This is a great opportunity for a developer to add a business angle in their current role or vice versa a seasoned manager to get their hands dirty solving technical challenges. What is F-Secure SENSE about?

SENSE protects all the home’s internet-enabled devices from cyber-attacks and threats, not only computers and phones, but also smart TVs, gaming consoles, baby monitors and other IoT devices. At F-Secure we want to be transparent in our recruiting. Our hiring process will consists of two (max three) interview rounds: introduction interview and team interview. Between these sessions is a pretask that will work as a basis for technical oriented discussions in the second interview. Our aim is to move quickly through the steps, and inform each candidate on a timely manner whether they will proceed in the process.

The Key Responsibilities In This Role

• Participating and leading the design and development of new features, components, capabilities for our SENSE security product
• Building APIs
• Contributing to technological and architectural decisions
• Existing system maintenance and improvements, CI pipeline upkeep
• Preventing and mitigating emerging security breaches/flaws
• Own your service components being part of the bigger sense cloud architecture
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Experience in software development using Python and related frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Starlette etc.
• Experience in cloud services and IaC, especially with AWS
• Interest in DevOps and agile working methods
• Full professional proficiency in English, as our organization language is English
• Willingness to relocate to Finland if you are currently not living here
