We are currently recruiting for a hybrid working Information Security Consultant role working hybrid for a Belgian Federal Client in Brussels, Belgium:

Duration: 4-6 months + extensions

Location: Brussels (2 days onsite per week)

Pay Rate: Negotiable

French & Dutch Fluency Needed

Key Skills:

Assessing the information security and demonstrable IT audit knowledge in the list (below) and supporting an information security architecture strategy in line with the organizational strategy. Providing the skills, recommendations and information security resources needed to implement the strategies and action plans. To be considered for the position, the candidate must have gained hands-on experience in information security audits within the past three years.

Ideally, the candidate should have the following qualifications:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent acquired through experience
• Mastery of abstract reasoning in various areas
• of knowledge Proven knowledge of information security in the ICT world and at least 10 years of experience in key roles in IT security audit projects (at the level of security management and with the necessary certifications such as CISA, ISO 27001 auditor, ....).
• A real 'doer' and result-oriented, with in-depth experience in the following areas:
• IT security audits, risk management, incident management, etc.
• experience in developing and implementing a security strategy
• the ability to propose alternative solutions and make recommendations on the choices to be made, taking into account changes in the situation.
• Conceptual knowledge of the terms used in cybersecurity management
• Knowledge of the techniques and concepts needed to Define
• a technical solution Conceptual knowledge of infrastructure-related terms and related architectural principles
• Good listening skills, A flexible attitude and the ability to give presentations that are accessible to the relevant audience, who have different levels of IT knowledge may have experience in A government context is a plus.

The role and associated duties include:

• Reviewing and recommending specific security controls required by the organization's policies and risk assessments.
• Assessing environmental safety risks and issues.
• carrying out baseline risk assessments for information systems
• Ensure the preparation of documentation related to the security reference framework to be provided in the requested areas.
• Propose alternative solutions or countermeasures to mitigate risks.
• Ensuring that business strategies are consistent with information security.
• IT audit certificate such as Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certification or similar ( mandatory).
