Machine Learning Specialist

Location: On-site, Remote or Hybrid in Switzerland

Responsibilities:

• Develop and train ML models for accurate material requirement calculations.
• Optimise ML models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate ML models into the platform’s backend.
• Perform data analysis to identify patterns and insights that inform model development.
• Test and validate ML models to ensure reliability and performance.
• Implement and maintain model monitoring to detect and resolve performance issues.
• Develop algorithms to ensure AI operates within defined parameters, maintaining safety and compliance.
• Document ML models and methodologies for future reference and scalability.
• Stay up to date with the latest ML research and industry trends to enhance model capabilities.
• Work closely with the Product and Development teams to align ML initiatives with business objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML model performance and data quality.

Requirements:

• A minimum of an MBA or a master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics from a top-tier university such as MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich, or UC Berkeley.
• At least five years of experience as an ML Specialist or in a similar role within a technology-driven company.
• Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, data analysis, and model training.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing and feature engineering techniques.
• Experience with cloud-based ML services is advantageous.
• Proven ability to implement algorithms that ensure AI operates within predefined safety and compliance standards.
