Data analyst (Payments)

ProjectOn is an international company specializing in the e-commerce and payments industry, working together with all stakeholders, including banks, financial institutes, and international payment organizations. We offer a solution that allows businesses to implement modern payment tools that ensure effortless data collection, storage, and completion of transactions with just a few clicks.

We are quickly expanding and looking for a Data analyst (Payments) based in Riga, Latvia.

In this role, you will optimize payment flows and routing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost profitability. You'll continuously monitor transaction data, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions to improve routing performance. Familiarity with payment systems, gateways, and transaction processes is essential. Experience in fintech or the payments industry, along with knowledge of compliance standards, is highly desirable

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Optimize payment flows and routing to ensure maximum efficiency
• Analyze payment transaction paths and suggest improvements to lower costs and increase profitability.
• Collaborate directly with the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) to align routing strategies with business objectives.
• Continuously monitor transaction data to ensure optimal routing performance.
• Identify inefficiencies in the payment routing process and propose solutions to address them.
• Track the impact of routing strategies on the company’s earnings and cost reduction efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience in payment routing or similar roles is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
• Familiarity with payment systems, gateways, and transaction processes.
• Understanding of how payment routing impacts company profitability and cost efficiency.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership (experience working directly with C-level executives is a plus).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, or similar) to support decision-making.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fintech or payments industry is considered as an advantage
• Knowledge of payment regulations and compliance standards is desirable
