THE ROLE

As Head of Technical Security Services, you will take full ownership of the technical offensive security team including people leadership, service delivery, and capability-building.


This role does not require hands-on execution, but extensive technical depth is crucial. You must command respect from a team of highly technical, strong-willed professionals while ensuring the clarity and effectiveness of deliverables. Your ability to review and refine technical reports will be critical to success. Additionally, commercial acumen is essential - you should understand how to structure engagements.


ABOUT YOU

  • Proven hands-on experience in cyber security, with experience or strong knowledge in offensive security (PT/Red Teaming).
  • Strong people management and engagement management skills.
  • Ability to assign work, conduct QA, define deliverables, and manage client engagements from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into digestible insights.
  • Ability to review and refine technical reports for clarity and effectiveness.
  • The right to work in Australia.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing engagements: Ensuring smooth project execution, resource allocation, quality assurance, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Building & leading the team: Supporting and developing talent, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a high-performing environment.
  • Customer engagement: Acting as the primary point of contact, ensuring substantial value is provided while maintaining trusted relationships.
  • Capability development: Identifying knowledge gaps, structuring tailored learning plans, and ensuring methodologies evolve with industry trends.
  • Commercial awareness: Structuring engagements effectively to align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Thought leadership: Identifying opportunities to present research and capabilities at leading cybersecurity conferences.
  • Team well-being & operations: Managing leave approvals, maintaining team morale, and addressing operational concerns.
