Engineering Lead – Digital Twin

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to drive the development of Real-Time 3D (RT3D) Digital Twin solutions for building operations, facility management, and smart cities. In this role, you will lead a team of skilled developers, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and deliver innovative, scalable, and high-impact digital products.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong analytical mindset—an ability to break down complex technical challenges into actionable steps. You should be a strategic thinker and problem solver, with exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple disciplines, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of scalable, high-performance Digital Twin models for building operations, security, and sustainability.
• Guide and mentor a team of RT3D developers, ensuring best practices in software design, maintainability, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers, to develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to business leaders and external partners.
• Integrate GIS and BIM (Building Information Modeling) data into Unity applications to create immersive, interactive environments.
• Define and uphold development standards to ensure modular, reusable, and scalable software components.
• Ensure a high-quality user experience through attention to detail, performance optimization, and visual fidelity.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies in computer graphics, digital twins, and smart city solutions, applying them to real-world challenges.
• Act as a technical advisor, providing guidance on architecture, performance optimization, and system integration.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of backend development using AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and other cloud-based solutions.
• 7-10+ years of experience in software engineering, game development, or real-time 3D applications.
• Proven leadership experience in managing development teams and complex technical projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in C# and Unity and/or C++ and Unreal Engine, with familiarity in performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with geospatial software such as QGIS, Cesium, and ArcGIS.
• Understanding of BIM/IFC and its integration into Digital Twin platforms.
• Familiarity with Brick schema, NGSI-LD, ProptechOS or other facility operations framework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down technical challenges into clear, actionable tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working on building operations, facility management, or sustainability-focused projects is a plus.
