Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient with data science programming languages and tools like Python, R, SQL, as well as frameworks such as TensorFlow and Scikit-learn.
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning strategies, particularly in healthcare settings.
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured healthcare datasets, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, and medical imaging.
  • Strong communication abilities to explain technical data insights to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Understanding of healthcare databases and systems (like Epic, Cerner, etc.) is favorable.

Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a proficient Data Scientist specializing in healthcare analytics. This position demands expertise in utilizing advanced data science methods and statistical analysis to tackle intricate issues within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in data science and practical experience in healthcare-related initiatives, aiming to produce valuable insights that bolster data-driven decisions.

Educational Background

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related domain is mandatory.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in data science or machine learning disciplines (e.g., TensorFlow Developer Certificate, IBM Data Science Certification) are considered a significant advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in the data science field, emphasizing predictive model development and machine learning solution implementation.
  • Substantial experience handling healthcare data or specific analytics problems like patient data evaluation, clinical decision support, and population health analysis.
  • Proven experience in sophisticated statistical analysis, data visualization, and AI-driven decision-making tools, with an aptitude to convey complex results to non-specialist audiences.
  • Awareness of healthcare regulatory environments, such as HIPAA and other compliance mandates, is an advantage.

Skill Set

  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages and data science software like Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, or similar technologies.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methodologies, predictive analytics, and ML algorithms focused on healthcare applications.
  • Capability to analyze both structured and unstructured healthcare data, including EHRs, claims files, medical imaging, and patient outcome records.
  • Exceptional communication skills, empowering the ability to present technical findings as actionable insights to varied audiences.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or comparable software.
  • Awareness of healthcare-centric databases and systems (for instance, Epic, Cerner, etc.) is advantageous.
