Robotics Navigation Research Engineer

The Robotics Division focuses on the research and development of advanced robotic systems and technologies across the air, land and maritime domains. These include aerodynamics, autonomy, platform control, guidance and navigation technologies.

The Robotics Autonomy Lab in DSO's Robotics Division develops a wide range of technologies for robotics autonomy. We are looking for a Robotics Navigation Research Engineer to work on the development and deployment of algorithms for Robotics Navigation on lightweight CPUs and GPUs.

Robotics Navigation Research Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Design and develop motion planning and control algorithms for autonomous ground and aerial vehicles
• Implement and deploy algorithms and machine learning models in C++/CUDA onto unmanned vehicle platforms fitted with lightweight CPUs and GPUs
• Work with software engineers on software integration and testing
• Work closely with the team to perform experimental testing, verification and validation in simulation and field trials

Requirements

• PhD / Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
• Strong theoretical/applied skills in Motion Planning / Controls / Machine Learning for Robotics
• Strong programming skills in C / C++ / Python
• Ability to work well in a team
• Hands-on experience in robotics projects
