About the role:

As part of their strategic growth plans, they are seeking an accomplished data scientist to join their data team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and the ability to leverage data to uncover insights and drive actionable strategies within the financial services space. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement advanced analytical models to solve complex business problems related to finance, risk assessment, and customer behaviour.

- Analyze large datasets to derive insights and inform strategic business decisions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, A/B tests, and predictive models.

- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and presentations.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and analytics.

Qualifications:

Ideally, you should have the following:

- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector.

- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, along with proficiency in SQL.

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).

- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
