Job Purpose

The Procurement team ensures efficient outsourcing and contracting of all aircraft-related commodities, including fleet, power plants, and equipment. Organized by commodity lines such as cabin avionics, power plants, and airframe systems, we collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and insurance teams to meet business needs with optimal terms. We manage supplier relationships and oversee warranty and product support, including contract administration and digital archiving. Our team negotiates extensively to secure and administer top product support, ensuring the highest standards of performance and integrity for our aircraft.

About The Role

Tha Manager Procurement Services & Product Support is responsible for the management & negotiation of Product support for aircraft, engine and systems warranties and guarantees during Aircraft service life span to ensure that suppliers comply and that applicable remedies are secured in a timely and efficient manner and claims are processed promptly and where necessary that settlements are negotiated with suppliers for a timely and efficient recovery of applicable remedies. Responsible for the sourcing and negotiation of Aircraft third party maintenance & component repairs agreements, Aicraft and Cabin Mods/Retrofits with respective suppliers and authoring of contract terms

that would ensure best economical aspects during aircraft life cycle.

What Will You Do

Supplier Performance Management: Design and manage the supplier performance measurement tool and metrics, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure visibility on performance and deploy corrective actions.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and formalize aircraft maintenance and component repair agreements with suppliers, including fixed-rate and power-by-hour services, working closely with Materials Management and manufacturers.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with Engineering, Flight Operations, Legal, Insurance, and Finance on contractual terms related to aircraft/engine procurement, such as Airbus A380 and GE90 contracts.

Sourcing & Retrofits: Manage the sourcing and procurement of aircraft modifications and major retrofits, ensuring cost-effective solutions are incorporated in alignment with Engineering.

Contract Compliance & Benefits: Review contracts for product support, liquidated damages, spares credits, and concessions. Develop systems to ensure compliance and benefit collection across Engineering units.

Aircraft Delivery & Warranty: Oversee the aircraft delivery process, ensuring compliance with product support terms through testing and post-delivery reviews. Manage in-house warranty repair agreements and secure manufacturer approvals.

Process Improvement: Lead process enhancements within the Warranty and Product Support Department, establishing frameworks for planning, budgeting, and performance. Propose methods to increase efficiency and productivity with minimal manpower growth.

Qualifications & Experience

This job might be for you if you have:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) preferably in Commercial Business or Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering, or other related aviation field.
  • 10+ Years experience in a commercial airline, or Aircraft Maintenance & Repair Organisation (MRO), of which a minimum of 5 years' experience related to Warranty, Guarantees and Contractual Administration.
  • Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Maintenance Repairs Overhaul (MRO) organization.
  • Previous experience with aviation line/base and engineering maintenance services would be a plus.

You’ll Have An Edge If You

  • Must have a proven track record of analytical decision-making, contract management, product support terms, with a strong commercial acumen. He/she must have strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough Knowledge of Engineering Support services processes and Warranty systems, within the commercial aviation industry
  • Knowledge of Aircraft systems, Maintenance practices and processes
  • Knowledge of Airline operating costs and Finance
  • Ability to negotiate complex and financially important agreements with senior supplier representatives
  • Ability to coach, motivate and lead a team of multinational staff to achieve common goals.
