The Opportunity
Our client is a community focused Federal Government Agency, currently seeking an APS6 HR Generalist to assist with a range of projects across a brand-new Accessibility and Inclusion Branch (OAAI) at the Agency.
Initial hourly rate contract spanning 2 months with potential to extend further, offering APS6 hourly rates of $60.26 + Super, to be based out of our clients Richmond or Geelong, with a 2 day WFH policy.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional expertise, services, and guidance that contributes to positive outcomes for the Agency, OAAI and staff.
- Anticipating challenges and assisting in resolving or developing solutions to improve outcomes.
- Working independently or under limited guidance in relation to an area of OAAI expertise.
- Making decisions, with support for tasks with considerable complexity and sensitivity for the Agency.
- Managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve OAAI and Agency objectives.
- Contributing to the development of team objectives and prioritise OAAI tasks, projects, and services.
- Assisting with planning strategically longer-term initiatives, program and project management and policy development for OAAI.
- Developing innovative initiatives and contributing to business improvement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of OAAI services, projects, and workplace practices.

- High ability to write well and succinctly.
- Understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Able to plan, manage and execute projects and deal with competing priorities.
- Tertiary HR qualifications
- Previous experience working in HR (especially Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)
