Back End Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our growing product team in Stockholm. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the core of a modern SaaS platform, contributing to scalable and high-performing backend systems built using Python and FastAPI. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and deploying backend services and infrastructure that power our platform, while working closely with a highly skilled and collaborative team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop, test and maintain robust backend systems using Python and FastAPI
• Architect and scale microservices in a cloud-native environment (GCP)
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers and DevOps engineers to deliver end-to-end features
• Build and maintain Docker-based development and deployment pipelines
• Help shape and improve CI/CD practices, monitoring, and infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and planning sessions
• Stay up to date with best practices in backend development and cloud infrastructure

Must-Have Experience:

• 6+ years as a backend engineer, with strong Python expertise
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI in production environments
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of Docker and containerized development workflows
• Experience working in a DevOps-influenced environment (CI/CD, monitoring, IaC, etc.)
• Solid understanding of system design, API development, and scalable architectures
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model – onsite 3 days per week in our Stockholm office

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
• Background in SaaS product development
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Previous experience in cross-functional product teams
