Cloud Engineer

We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer (m/f) to join our client in the banking sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility, aligned with current legislation

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional.
• Additional certifications in cloud platforms (Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with FinOps tools and platforms that support FOCUS data.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial management software.

Responsibilities:

• Apply cloud cost optimization techniques across Azure, AWS, GCP, and SaaS platforms.
• Partner with DevOps, Finance, and Engineering to align spend with delivery goals.
• Build and refine a cloud financial operations (FinOps) framework tailored to our environment.
• Analyze usage data using tools aligned with FOCUS-style structures.
• Provide spend insights and reporting across multi-cloud and SaaS vendors.
• Educate teams on cost governance, tagging, and forecasting best practices.
• Optimize resource allocation (e.g., right-sizing, reservation planning, licensing).
• Support budgeting, chargeback, and cost-to-value mapping initiatives.
