Head of Information Security

InterQuest are partnered with one of the markets leading financial institutions to help support the growth of their Information Security function.

This is a brand new position and team within the business and will essentially see you given the keys to the Information Security kingdom. You'll be reporting directly into the CRO and be tasked with standing up the program from scratch, with a footprint covering Europe.

You'll act as the focal of multiple teams, from IT through to Audit, ensuring collaboration and that Security is at the very beating heart of everything the business does by positioning the function in the 2nd LoD. You will play in integral role in shaping not only the IT & Risk departments, but the business as a whole moving forward, so recent experience in Financial Services, building a team/function from scratch, is highly desirable.

Some key responsibilities are:

• Define and refine the ISO’s role, strategy, and multi-year roadmap to mature the organization’s security posture.
• Oversee cybersecurity strategy and governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks (DORA, ECB, ISO27001, etc....)
• Assess the security impact of IT changes, system upgrades, and new developments.
• Identify and address gaps between security standards and IT implementations, collaborating with IT teams to mitigate risks.
• Manage security awareness training programs, including onboarding and phishing simulations.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including headquarters and regional entities, on security risk assessments and compliance initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to leave a mark and create something in your own perfect vision at a global entity. The position is based in my client's Amsterdam Zuid HQ on a Hybrid basis (3 in/2 out) and also comes alongside a healthy package that boasts a salary around the €125k mark (which can certainly be flexible for the right person!)
