AI Engineer

I'm recruiting on behalf of a high-growth early-stage company that is leveraging AI and automation to drive meaningful outcomes across a variety of sectors. They are focused on building scalable solutions that deliver real business value without traditional scaling challenges.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a formative stage and play a key role in shaping the company’s AI direction. The team is technically strong, and they’re now looking to bring in an experienced AI Engineer who can contribute both strategically and hands-on.

The Opportunity

The company is looking for someone with a strong foundation in data science and engineering, and a deep understanding of how AI can be applied in real-world scenarios. The role involves developing and executing AI strategy, leading projects end-to-end, and supporting the growth of the internal AI function. Experience with Gen AI particularly in enterprise or applied contexts is especially valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead AI strategy aligned with business goals
• Build and deploy data-driven solutions, including models and pipelines
• Lead and manage implementation teams across technical and commercial workstreams
• Stay ahead of emerging tools, frameworks, and trends in AI
• Translate technical work into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
• Help shape internal AI processes and support team expansion

Your Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data science/engineering, including exposure to Gen AI
• Strong technical foundation and ability to guide projects from concept to execution
• Proven ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical audiences
• Leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Bonus: experience in a startup or scale-up environment
